CalEssence distills the best of the state’s abundance through distinct concept collections reflective of different geographic regions of California. Each collection achieves unique body care objectives through the use of regionally relevant ingredients. Our signature line, the Napa Wine Collection, is a premier body care line capturing the finest anti-aging ingredients of California’s renowned wine region. CalEssence will introduce the Sierras Collection, focused on the body care needs of outdoor enthusiasts, in the Spring of 2006.
Every CalEssence creation is meticulously crafted with the finest raw ingredients. We use as many locally sourced natural ingredients as possible, and we attempt to incorporate the whole essence of natural ingredients in all of our formulas through the use of labor- intensive aqueous and oil infusions. And, like fine cuisine, we prepare most of our products by hand, in small batches, to ensure quality and freshness.
We want each encounter with CalEssence to be an indulgence of all the senses. We pay great attention to not only the quality and effectiveness of our formulas, but also to the scent, look and feel of each. are a family-owned business that is committed to making
the finest, natural bath and body products. We started CalEssence
because we are as passionate about California as we are
about natural body care. Like so many other Californians,
we migrated to the San Francisco Bay Area as young adults
and never left.
Although some of us grew up putting mashed bananas and fresh yoghurt on our bodies, CalEssence was not our first calling in life. In fact, the company founder has worn many hats throughout her life, the last of which was as an attorney in San Francisco. Two kids and a lifelong passion for fine body care products led her to take the “plunge” into a new career. And,
so CalEssence was born!
